I bet at least one person has whined to themselves why this blog is called "Our Teenage Wasteland," when there is clearly only one person blogging. Well, here's a little history for you:
One day during school, I felt like venting to someone, but I didn't want to endure the aftereffects of doing such a rash thing. So I instead decided that I would make a blog whining about my teenage angst to a bunch of anonymous bloggers and/or child pedophiles. I came up with the name "Teenage Wasteland," which properly describes what I feel my teen years tend to feel like-- at times. But that name was taken. So I tried "My Teenage Wasteland." Taken, dammit! I was getting really frusterated by now. But then my Spanish class kicked in: "what's the closest thing to 'my'?" I asked myself. "Our, of course, assheaded [extreme expletive]" my snooty emo/geek part of the brain replied before going back to carving trigonometric ratios into it's cells. (By the way, don't self-harm kids; scars aren't sexy.) Thus the fine blog "Our Teenage Wasteland" was created. There's a test on this next week (CLICHÉ ALERT!!). Sorry, couldn't help myself.

You Wanna Piece of Me?
Well, I guess the whole smut incident went away?
I'm Miss ohmygawd, that Britney's shameless!
You wanna piece of me?
Sorry, Top 20 on 20's playing Piece of me by Britney Spears. God, that songs like her anthem, isn't it? As much of a b!atch she is, I have to admit her new singles are pretty catchy.
Gimme more
gimme gimme more
gimme more
[x20,000,000]
I guess this can be a musical post. So regarding Low with Flo Rida + T-Pain: that song's the most degrading in the world, but the chorus is so damn.... catchy.
she hit the floor
next thing you know
shawty go low low low low lo--No! No! No! No! I find myself humming while swimming. But hopnestly, it's been the most-downloaded song on iTunes since December-ish, and it's been #1 on Billboard for 4 months maybe. Does it deserve that much success? I thought Apologize or No One deserved the tope spot much much more, IMHO.

Friends+(ThemNot Me*Porn)=PISSED OFF ME!
Ugh, my friends are rude idiots. Sometimes...
Group 1: So there's this group of 3 guys, 1 is new this year, and the other 2 were friends since 6th grade(now we're in 8th grade). I'm friends with the new kid and one of the others, but they're all really good friends with each other. Unfortunately, they're a tad obsessed with dating, but they're horrendously unpopular with the girls (for good reason, might I cruelly add). They often have parties where they play video games and flirt with 16-year-olds on Facebook. I honestly couldn't care less about their social lives, but they always discuss their newest planned get-together in front of me, which I am horribly offended at. I told them that in October, and they stopped until just now. Grrr.
Group 2: Then there's another group of guys; 3 of the most "popular" kids in our grade (they only FIT the stereotypes of popular, loads of people hate them, so I guess they aren't really popular... =/). They've all had several girlfriends over the past 3 years, but now they're all single(they didn't respect their gf's boundaries, I'm guessing). So now all they do is hook up with classmates 16-year-old cousins and whine about how dumb everyone besides them is.
Then theres the typical teenage guy stuff in Group 2; (let's just call it "stuff that is a highly profitable movie industry that sure as hell ain't Disney." That should cover it, eh?). Well, today we were being talkative and dirty in science, and they starting talking about their favorite.....films (if you could call it that). Turns out they watch this stuff every night on their cable TV (probably on the "Family Cable Plan," if anyone appreciates irony) and are totally addicted to it.
Now I'm not super-moralistic, but I have my ethical standards. And I don't believe 8th graders belong watching that stuff. Plus, isn't it illegal or something? So I just ignored anything they asked me.
These friends (group 2) are decent other than that. They can be annoying and hookup obsessed, but they're hilarious and not too awkward to talk to. But I still call them the "(English term for WooHoo)-obsessed
faces" when I'm around their exes; I'm just a backstabber like that, and it's the truth.
I don't really wanna ditch 'em yet, but I don't want to go down the same path they are. Any advice on what to do with either group 1 or group 2 of friends? Or are they all just a lost cause *hums A Litle Less Sixteen Candles, a Little More "Touch Me" (Fall Out Boy)*This whole business reminds me of Rihannah's "Hate That I Love You," except it's friends, not hubbys/boyfriends's.
Anyone agree with me here? Or am I the only teenager with ethical standards?

That's Odd...
Well, I've been off vacationing in Colorado (god, I love skiing now; it's my new passion *moan*), so of course I haven't been blogging.
Happy b****in' new year, y'all. First thin we did on 1/1/08 was do 8,000 meters to "celebrate the new year." Yeah right.
But that's besides the point. I'm thinkin' conspiracy theories here, so shut up and look at this:
http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=62.139201,-141.144104&spn=0.354898,1.178284&t=k&z=10&om=1
a black spot in Google Maps? HELL no! But there is one, or maybe it's just my dumb computer... Start making conspiracy theories, or I'll share some.
